Skimming

Skimming is where a wall is plastered with a layer of thin coat. It is usually applied to an existing plastered wall to smooth the surface area. It’s an extremely difficult task therefore, shouldn’t be attempted by anyone that isn't a professional otherwise the wall or ceiling might end up looking worse then before!

Dry-lining

Dry-lining is applying plasterboard to a wall which, gives you a smooth finish to decorate immediately. It's much easier to get a good result this way than with wet plaster and it's an easier alternative to completely re-plastering.

Coving

Coving is a strip of material with various profiles used to cover transitions between surfaces like for example, where the ceiling meets the wall or for decoration. It is usually made from solid milled wood or plaster, but may also be of plastic or reformed wood.

Metal frame ceilings

Metal frame plasterboard ceilings are simply metal frames designed to hold plasterboard in place on the ceiling to make it strong, reliable and easy when applying a mix. An alternative is wooden frame ceilings.

Float and set

The traditional way and often referred to as wet plastering. A wet undercoat is required such as sand or cement or bonding/browning coat which is applied to a brick wall to smoothen the surface and provide that flat finish.

If you would like to install a room partition or room divider then, we offer this service too. We are able to separate a room into two or more by simply building a wall/walls. This is a common service so please contact us if you have any queries.

Hard Walling

This is most often used as an undercoat in present day, and can be used on most masonry surfaces such as bricks, medium-density and aircrete blocks. It has a high impact resistance and dries quickly. It’s ideal for use in a 2-coat system. If you require any patch or hard wall repairs for any stained or damp areas then, we can provide a quote for this. No job is too big or small.
